I meant to hop on the computer to post yesterday, but instead we were too busy relaxing on the patio and enjoying the sunshine and each other’s company.
Our day started with Ken going for a bike ride and a then a breakfast of pancakes, eggs, and bacon.
From there we relocated to the patio, where we literally played hours of Uno and watched Grace play in the pool.
It was a good day.
A perfect day.
As I’ve said before, I have been blessed with a supportive husband who is one heck of a dad. To celebrate, the kids and I brainstormed some of our favorite dad memories from this past year.
*Hiking at Camel’s Back this past weekend (even when we weren’t in the shade:) ).
*Watching Adventure Time just the two of us.-Fenix.
*Dancing to “Tough Tootin’ Baby”.
*The mood music you play at dinner. (Seriously, what will Fenix’s future girlfriends think?)
*Playing hide n go seek dino style.-Grace
*Soccer with Coach Dad.-Fenix
*The “Daddys…” point and cry.
*Soccer end of season dinner.
*The mornings when mommy let’s you dress me.-Grace
*”Where’s the Chapstick?”
*Our daddy/daughter hiking excursions.-Grace
*Listening to you laugh with the kids as well as laughing about the crazy and cute things the kids do with you.-Me
Happy Father’s Day, Ken! Thanks for all the love, goofiness, meals, class trips, days on the soccer field, cuddles, and laughs. I couldn’t imagine traveling through this adventure we call parenting with anyone else.
We love you!
